Our Story

The real story
never makes it
into the press release.

We built OЯIGO because the most important conversations in business are happening offstage, after the panel, in the parking lot. We decided to put a microphone there.

The Manifesto

01

Chapter 01 — The Problem

Everyone's telling
the winning version.

You've seen the interview. The founder sits down, crosses their legs, and tells you about the vision they had from day one. The team they always believed in. The product that was always going to work. The investors who were always going to say yes.

It's a great story. It's also mostly fiction.

The real story — the one that actually happened — is messier, scarier, and a thousand times more useful. It has a moment where the money ran out. A co-founder who quit. A pivot that felt like failure. A bet that should have destroyed everything but somehow didn't.

That's the story nobody tells. Because nobody asks. Because the format doesn't allow it. Because there's a PR person in the room. Because the podcast host has three minutes before the break.

"We didn't want a better business interview. We wanted a completely different one."

Chapter 02 — The Idea

What if we just
went live?

We're a small team. Nobody from a big media company. Nobody with a network deal or a celebrity co-host. Just people who got tired of watching founders perform instead of talk.

The idea was simple: go to the city, find the founder, put them on stage, and don't stop asking until you get to the real thing. No pre-approved questions. No edited version. A live audience. A camera. A stream.

We called it OЯIGO. Origin. Because every company starts somewhere real, before the myth gets built around it. And we wanted to go back there — live, in front of people, with no way to clean it up afterwards.

"The backwards R isn't decoration. It's the whole point. We're going in reverse — back to where it actually started."

Chapter 03 — Who We're For

Not for the industry.
For everyone else.

OЯIGO is not for VCs. It's not a networking event dressed up as content. We don't care about deal flow or thought leadership or brand positioning.

We built this for the student who's 23 and doesn't know if their idea is stupid, and needs to hear from someone who felt exactly that way. For the person in a small city who doesn't have a Silicon Valley network but has a burning idea and no map for how to start. For the curious — the people who just want to understand how things get built without having to decode the jargon.

The best thing about a raw, honest founder interview is that it's accessible to everyone. You don't need context. You don't need a MBA. You just need to be human, and care about what it takes to make something from nothing.

"We go to the cities because we believe the next great founder isn't in a conference room in San Francisco. They're somewhere watching this."

Chapter 04 — The Format

Live. Loud.
No safety net.

We travel to a new city every month. We pick a raw venue — not a hotel ballroom, not a conference center. We set up proper audio and cameras. We let 150 people in the room. We stream it to whoever wants to watch.

One founder. One interviewer. One hour. The audience asks questions too. Nobody gets to see the questions in advance. Nobody gets to pull the recording if they don't like how it came out.

The episode lives forever. The honest version. That's the deal. You come on OЯIGO, you tell the real story — and it stays on record. That's what makes it mean something.

How We Work

The OЯIGO Rules

RULE 01
No pre-approved questions
We research every founder deeply. We come prepared. But we don't share the questions in advance — ever. The surprise is the point.
RULE 02
The recording stays up
You can't pull it afterwards. You can't ask for an edit. When you agree to OЯIGO, you agree that this version is the permanent one.
RULE 03
The audience asks too
We take at least two questions from the live audience every episode. The best question in the room gets asked. No filtering.
RULE 04
Always live, always free to watch
Every episode streams live at no cost. We will never put the live stream behind a paywall. That's a promise to the audience.
RULE 05
We go to them
OЯIGO travels. We don't ask founders to come to us. We show up in their city, in their ecosystem, on their turf. That changes the energy.
RULE 06
Success isn't the criteria
We don't only interview founders who made it big. We interview founders who have a story worth hearing. Those aren't always the same people.

The People

A small team.
A big idea.

We're not a media company. We're not a startup studio. We're a group of people who got frustrated watching the same interview happen over and over, and decided to build something different.

🎙
The Host
Interviewer · On Stage Every City
Asks the questions everyone else is too polite to ask. Has been in enough rooms to know when someone's performing — and how to break through it.
📡
The Producer
Production · City Logistics · Stream
Sets up the room, runs the cameras, manages the stream, makes sure nothing breaks live. The invisible reason everything looks effortless.
🗺
The Researcher
Founder Research · Story Development
Spends weeks with every founder's story before the interview happens. Finds the thing they haven't talked about. Builds the map the host uses to go off-road.
